Michael Coudrey (born September 5, 1993) is an American entrepreneur, investor, and speaker who serves as the chairman and CEO of the Pharos Investment Group. Its subsidiaries are involved in e-commerce, manufacturing, biotechnology, marketing, real estate development, finance, and investing.

Coudrey first drew national recognition in 2016 for his political commentary and activism, after organizing and attending a series of political events for the 2016 United States elections.

Early life and education[edit]

Coudrey was born in 1993 in Long Island, New York, the second of four children of real estate developer Kenneth Coudrey and Cardiologist Laura Coudrey.[1] He attended Kings Park High School and graduated in 2011.[2]

Coudrey displayed an interest in business and investing at an early age. At the age of 12, he started his first business venture selling candy, chewing gum, and soda to classmates. When he was 14, he created a sunglasses e-commerce business that was later acquired by an apparel company in Miami, Florida.[3]

In 2014, Coudrey moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in business.[3]

Career[edit]

After working as the Director of Social Media for an Amazon company in Los Angeles, California, Coudrey resigned and launched YukoSocial, a social media company. Later that year, he also launched a health-conscious e-commerce brand that specialized in selling on Amazon.[3]

In 2017, Coudrey's social media firm, YukoSocial, began specializing in political social media, after seeing a growing opportunity from politicians who wanted to use social media for their campaigns. YukoSocial worked with 7 congressional candidates in 2018, and has generated over $1,000,000 in profits.[4]

Political and economic views[edit]

Coudrey has engaged in conservative activism and organizing in the United States, earning two retweet endorsements from President Donald J. Trump on his verified Twitter account.[5] His tweets are often featured in news media articles featuring US politics.[6][7][8][9][10] In 2018, Coudrey advocated for various political candidates, and funded digital media attack ads that focused on the Florida federal congressional elections.[11]

Coudrey has shown concern about the security of voting machines, stating to the New York Times in 2019:

Warnings from federal officials about possible foreign interference in elections made use of scannable voting machines a cause for significant concern.[12]

In the aftermath of the Flint Water Crisis, Coudrey criticized the Food and Drug Administration, stating 'The poisoning of Flint's water offers a vision of the future for the rest of the country, should our nation fail to reinvest its aging infrastructure.' In addition, he has warned that drastic government overspending will prove detrimental to long-term economic prosperity.[13]

He has also questioned the integrity of United States news and media outlets.
